Xscape Gets Their Own Day in Atlanta

By  |

Monday, November 6 was proclaimed Xscape Day in Atlanta.

Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, Tamika Scott and LaTocha Scott were honored for their history of excellence in R&B music.

Atlanta City Councilman Ceasar Mitchell presented the plaques to the group.

Many friends and family came out to City Hall to support the ladies including Reginae Carter and mom Toya Wright!

T.I. was also there to support his wife Tiny, along with their children, King, Major, and Heiress.

Tiny had this to say about the momentous occasion: “Thank you City of Atlanta #CeasarMitchell..Mayor @kasimreed & everyone who came out to support & those who wanted to be there but couldn’t make it!! We are humbly honored that City or city gave us our Official Xscape Day today Nov 6 not to mention we got the key to the city!! What an amazing city it is! Our hometown born & raised in Atlanta…”

The Harris family looked amazing cheering on the singer as she, Kandi Burruss, Tamika Scott and LaTocha Scott accepted the key to the ATL.

Kandi was likewise blown away by all the support her city has shown: “Today so many people came to celebrate with us at City Hall for being honored with our own day! #Nov6th is officially #XscapeDay in Atl! Thank you to all of our family & friends that came to support!”
