Kandi Introduced Her Girls To Beyonce Which Basically Makes Her Mom Of The Year
When Kandi Burruss stepped out on the town with her family at the Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, The Real Housewives of Atlanta singer bumped into her former songwriting client Beyoncé — for whom Kandi famously wrote back in the days of Destiny’s Child.
Kandi asked Queen Bey if she’d take a picture with her daughter Riley Burruss, stepdaughter Kaela Tucker, and family friend/up-and-coming R&B singer Jasmine “QT Jazz” Robinson, and Beyoncé agreed to smile sweetly for the camera.
“The mom of the year award goes to me for getting my girls a pic with #QueenBey! @beyonce thank you for being so gracious to take a pic with @rileyburruss @kpt__ & @qtjazz. You made their night!” Kandi wrote on Instagram.
Kandi posted some sweet family shots in Wakanda-themed attire, which was the dress code for the evening.
“My family had a great time last night at the #wearableartgala. The attire was suppose to be #Wakanda inspired. I got so many compliments on my @s.dentoncollection sequined jumpsuit! Jewelry was from @deepagurnani. Thanks @hauseofglam for styling me & @everythingelle_ for tailoring it to fit.”
More pics from the other night at the #wearableartgala. We had a great time! Thanks @mstinalawson for the invite it was a beautiful event & thanks @saintrecords for taking a pic with my girls.
Amusingly, Bey’s six-year-old mini mogul daughter Blue Ivy Carter also made headlines at the event for bidding $19,000 on an acrylic painting of Sidney Poitier, but she lost out to Tyler Perry, who outbid her by just $1,000. Close call!
